Obituary for Freida Lou Fowler (Romans)

Services for Freida Lou Romans Fowler, 72, of Joshua, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Charles Payne and Rev. Brooks Monk will officiate. Burial will take place in the Hopewell Cemetery in Joshua, Tx. Pallbearers will be Charles Blevins, Brad Blevins, Jeremy Rogers, Danny Rogers, A.J. Blevins, Christopher Barber, Willie Coleman and Tracy Fowler. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Monday Feb 3, 2020.

Freida Fowler passed away January 28, 2020 in Joshua surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 26, 1947 in Greenup Co, Kentucky to William Romans and Hazel Stewart. She married Jack Ray Fowler on October 13, 2006 in Oklahoma and she has never been happier. Freida was a devout Christian who impacted many around her. She was an active member of Marystown Baptist Church. She raised four successful children. For fun Freida was a very frequent care giver of her three great grandsons. She enjoyed family time, and shopping with all the girls, coffee with her children and husband at 5am. She had a memorable, contagious and huge smile even through her long battle with cancer. Her faith never wavered. She was a trusted nanny for many years for serval families. She had 12 years of service for the Department of Defense.

Survivors include her husband Jack Fowler of Joshua; children, Pamela Sue Blevins Wallingsford of Fort Worth, Sheila G. Rogers and husband Danny J. of Cleburne, Charles L. Blevins and wife Bonnie R. of Cleburne; stepson, Tracy Fowler and wife Lisa Ann of Burleson; sisters, Catherine Elswick and husband John of Joshua; Linda Scharf and husband Harold of Caro, Michigan; brother, Roger Riley and wife Cheryl of Ocala, Florida Marlyn Alice Plummer of Ashland, Ky ; grandchildren, Christopher Barber, A.J. Blevins, Amber Coleman and husband Willie, Angelia Renken and husband Bryan, Kala Ann Escobedo and husband Luis, Bradley Blevins, Jeremy Rogers and wife Kimberly, and Kelly Blevins; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Renken, Tanner Coleman, Bryson Renken, Jackson Coleman, Levi Coleman, Sofia Escobedo and Sebastian Escobedo; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her son, Allie Wayne Blevins; and grandson, Cody Wayne Blevins. Her siblings Tommy Riley, Evelyn Gillispie, John L. Riley, Barbara Ellen Howard.
