Selecting a funeral director is a personal decision, so we want you to know who we are. Foremost, we are hometown folk - not a large international corporation. The directors of Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home have decades of combined service in the funeral industry in the Johnson County community.
Hometown Funeral Directors...

Jimmy grew up in Cleburne and has been a lifelong resident of Johnson County. Before he graduated Cleburne High School in 1960, he began working in the funeral home in 1958 at the young age of 16. He went on to graduate from the Dallas Institute Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science in 1962. He worked alongside Hunter Pearson and Byron Crosier for many years before managing Martin's Funeral Home. The Higginbotham family approached Jimmy and Carol to build Mountain Valley and Cleburne Funeral Homes in the late 1990s. In 2004, Higginbotham family purchased Crosier-Pearson Mayfield Funeral Home, merging Cleburne and Crosier-Pearson into one firm, under the managing direction of Jimmy and Carol Wray.
Carol Grew up in Grandfalls, TX where she was the daughter to John Allen Puckett, well known oil man in the area and her mother Leatha Puckett a nurse at the local hospital for many years. She graduated from Grandfalls High School in 1978 and went on to follow in her mother's footsteps to become a nurse, graduating in 1981 from the Odessa College School of nursing. Continuing to care for people, Carol later graduated from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1991. She moved to Cleburne to serve her apprenticeship at Martin's Funeral Home. Carol is now known as Jimmy Wray's wife (since 1993). The Wray's have been serving families in Johnson County together ever since. Jimmy and Carol have dedicated their lives to serving others in the funeral homes and in the community through countless clubs, organizations and boards as well as in their church home Calvary Baptist Church.
The Higginbotham family approached the Wray's to join them as co-owners in the family business in 2012. The Wray's continue to serve as co-owner and managing directors serving families of Johnson County together today...
