Service for Viola Roberts, 93, of Parker will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend John Hollingsworth will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ty Gist, David Ray Butler, Aaron Butler, Jamie Morton, Matt Shrum and Travis Ashworth. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Viola Roberts passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 in Ft. Worth. She was born Sept. 10, 1923 in Whitney to Jack and Leath Watts Ivy. She married Cleo Steve Roberts and he preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 1983.
Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and a dear friend to many. She was a member of Parker Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, George Roberts and wife Paula of Burleson; grandchildren, Brandy Roberts and Brandon Jones of Parker, Crystal Weatherly and husband Jeff of Granbury; two great grandchildren, Charity and Tre Gonzales; sisters, Iva Lee Worley of Ft. Worth and Mary Priest of Cleburne; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. She was also preceded in death by her parents and numerous siblings.
