Funeral mass for Refugio Reyna, Sr., 77, known to many as Joe or Cuco will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Father Sergio Rizo will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Refugio Reyna, Jr., Jose Luis Garcia III, Miguel Angel Garcia, Jose Luis Garcia II, Matias Ortiz and Nicholas Young. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 P.M., with Rosary to follow at the funeral home.
Refugio Reyna passed away Friday, Jan. 5, 2018 in Magnolia, TX. He was born April 6, 1940 in San Benito, TX. to Ysidro and Anita Garza Reyna.
Mr. Reyna was a retired construction worker of 50 years and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Evelyn Maser of Magnolia, TX; son, Refugio Reyna Jr. and wife Letty of Magnolia, TX; daughters, Alicia Reyna Garcia and husband Jose Luis, Connie Reyna Ortiz and husband Matias of Cleburne, and Senaida Reyna of Plano; brothers, Guadalupe Reyna and wife Sharon; sisters, Rosario Cruz and husband Felipe and Antonia Terronez and husband Joe, all of Rio Vista, Vickie Villanueva and husband David of Euless; six grandchildren, Jose Luis III, Miguel Angel, Reyna Nicole Garcia, Maribel Ortiz, Cristal Ortiz Young and Shymia Reyna; three great grandchildren, Layah Marie Young, Jeron Louis Garcia and Aymaree Aleena Garcia. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
