Memorial service for Robert Edgar Vaughn, 77, and his wife, Margaret Ella Steel Vaughn, 74, of Talihina, OK will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Cornerstone Church in Cleburne. The Reverend Weldon Coble will officiate.
Robert Edgar Vaughn and Margaret Ella Steele Vaughn passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018 in California.
Robert Edgar Vaughn was born July 26, 1940 in Cleburne to Henry G. and Frankie Robinson Vaughn. He married Margaret Ella Steel Vaughn in 1997 in Cleburne. He was a truck driver and a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God Church.
Robert is survived by children, Ronnie Vaughn and wife Trina, and Debbie Kay Vaughn, all of Alvarado; Carolyn Vaughn of Joshua, and Michael Vaughn and wife Sarah of Woodbury; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, two brother, Gilliam Vaughn and wife Paige of Joshua and Henry Vaughn and Tina Ary of Grosbeck; and a sister, Helen Styron of Cleburne. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Thomas Harole Vaughn, Leroy Vaughn and John Henry Vaughn; and a sister, Verna Jane Vaughn.
Margaret Ella Steel Vaughn was born Aug. 21, 1943 in Sweetwater to Charlie and Mildred Burnett Steel. She married Robert Edgar Vaughn in 1997 in Cleburne. She worked as a waitress and was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God Church.
Margaret is survived by her five children, Kenneth David Vaughn and Charla Montgomery, and Charlie Thomas Vaughn and wife Tina, all of Godley; Qulima Kay Knapp and Arnold Cortez of Grand Prairie, Clovis Henry Vaughn and wife Penny of Talihina, OK and Toyce Lynn Driskell and husband Benjamin of Butte Falls, OR; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; four siblings, Kenneth Steel and wife Willi Mae, Sandra Steel, Barbara McGee and Teresa Redford, all of Talihina; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Charlotte, Mary, and Sheila; and a grandchild, Daymian.
